Sol Juárez

Sol is Associate Professor in Public Health Sciences at Stockholm University, Sweden. She also works at the Centre for Health Equity Studies (Stockholm University/Karolinska Institute). Sol completed both her B.A. and  PhD in Sociology with European Mention at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. Her main research line revolves around health inequalities, with a special interest in the presence of the epidemiological paradox in the Spanish context, through the examination of perinatal health. Sol studies the “healthy migrant paradox” in European contexts with a particular emphasis on birth outcomes. Additionally, she investigates the determinants and long standing consequences of outcomes derived from birthweight and gestational age.
