EL PAÍS publishes an interview with Alberto Palloni to present his ambitious research project, ECHO
Alberto Palloni was interviewed by José M. Abad Liñán, from EL PAÍS, one of the most read newspapers in Spanish in the world. Among other topics, the journalist was interested in the concrete hypothesis that are at the basis of ECHO and the databases that will be used to prove them. According to the Project Director, understanding how Type 2 diabetes and obesity are related to childhood experiences, even at an embryonic phase, or to their mothers’ lives, is at the core of the project. For this, the ERC grant will allow gathering scientific evidence that will contribute to reformulate and generalize standard theories of human health and mortality.
